recently, i've been looking at drum machines, as annierosen knows all too well. and, i realized, that it doesn't matter how high-tech something is. it matters how high-tech something looks. if the buttons don't glow in the dark or even in the light, people won't want it. i mean, that doesn't apply if you actually know what you're talking about. but most people aren't smart enough for that. therefore, the best way to sell a product is to make it flashy. that kind of sucks. |
